Work at the intersection of science, development, and regulatory interaction in a global pharmaceutical company driven by innovation and purpose

Drive nonclinical and translational development across R&D
As Director, Nonclinical and Translational Development at Pharmacosmos, you will become part of the Clinical Science team within the R&D organization and report to Vice President Medical Science, R&D. In this central role, you will take overall responsibility for nonclinical and translational activities across development programs, acting as the key expert and sparring partner to project teams and stakeholders. You will ensure that nonclinical and bioanalytical activities are designed, executed, and integrated effectively into development plans, while maintaining alignment with regulatory requirements and quality standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across R&D, as well as external partners and vendors, to ensure high-quality execution of studies and development activities. A key part of the role is overseeing external CROs and bioanalytical partners, ensuring performance, compliance, and data integrity. Furthermore, you will contribute to regulatory interactions and documentation, supporting development programs through scientific advice, agency meetings, and submission activities. In addition, you will play a central role in business development and lifecycle management by providing nonclinical and translational expertise in the evaluation and advancement of new and existing assets.
Scientific profile with nonclinical and translational expertise
You hold a relevant scientific degree within life sciences (e.g., pharmacology, biology, biochemistry, or a related field), and have gained several years of experience from a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or similar industry. You bring solid experience from a similar role within nonclinical and translational development and have a strong understanding of the full scope of nonclinical activities. You are experienced in working with external vendors and CROs and have a good understanding of bioanalytical activities. Furthermore, you are familiar with regulatory interactions and documentation and are comfortable working within a highly regulated environment, including GLP and related quality standards. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and able to communicate scientific and technical matters clearly to a broad range of stakeholders.
On a personal level, you are collaborative and thrive in a role with broad responsibility and high impact. You are motivated by working across multiple projects and enjoy taking ownership of complex development activities. With a proactive and curious mindset, you are comfortable navigating uncertainty and learning along the way, and you bring a hands-on and solution-oriented approach to your work. You have strong interpersonal skills and build trust across functions, enabling effective collaboration with both internal teams and external partners. Structured and adaptable, you are able to manage multiple priorities while contributing positively to a dynamic and growing organization.
