As Project Director, you will play a key role in driving development programs forward across functions while supporting the implementation of a more structured approach to development project execution within R&D.

Ensure the progression of Pharmacosmos' development programs
As Project Director at Pharmacosmos, you will report to the Senior Director, R&D (PMO), and lead high-priority cross-functional development projects across late-stage development, regulatory, and post-marketing phases. In this role, you will be responsible for steering development programs, ensuring alignment across functions such as Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, CMC development, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial. This includes driving project execution in line with timelines and strategic priorities, as well as facilitating the integration of investigational drug projects into Pharmacosmos resulting from Business Development activities. Moreover, you will collaborate closely across functions to align project objectives and ensure progress, while monitoring and reporting on project status to executive management, providing essential insights and updates. The role also encompasses risk assessment and mitigation, as well as budgeting and forecasting processes for development programs, ensuring timely identification and resolution of issues. Finally, you will contribute to the ongoing development of project management practices within the PMO and support the implementation of a more structured approach to development project execution across the organization.

Experienced R&D Project Director
We expect you to hold a Master's degree within the Life Science field and possess 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, specifically focused on project management of cross-functional R&D projects. Likewise, you have a strong understanding of the drug development process, encompassing clinical development, regulatory requirements, and Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC), with primary experience within late-stage development. Moreover, you have experience leading cross-functional teams and excel in navigating a matrix organization, including collaboration across functions such as Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, CMC, Medical Affairs, and Commercial.

Personally, you possess strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to build relationships across functions and seniority levels. You can create alignment and drive progress in complex environments, even when structures and processes are still evolving. Demonstrating a pragmatic and adaptable mindset, you are comfortable operating with a high degree of uncertainty and can create clarity and structure where needed. Furthermore, you are characterized by strong organizational and planning skills, allowing you to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic and growing environment, while maintaining a focus on execution and results.

Play a key role in an exciting international growth journey
This is your chance to take on a central role in a growing R&D organization, where your experience and approach will be important for both the execution of development programs and the continued development of how projects are structured and managed at Pharmacosmos.
